My original C: hdd has a fault and is not usable so I have had to install a new ssd to which I have installed windows 10 and Acronis true image 19 only.

in Acronis if I select recovery the screen shows no data to recover.

If I search my pc I have a second drive  M:  that has all my previous backup files for each day saved as full backups

what steps do I take to get Acronis 19 on my new C: drive to find the hdd with the backups saved on it?

i want to completely   recover the full C: backup to the new ssd. C:

Alistair, welcome to these public User Forums.

For any recovery of your Windows C: drive, it is highly recommended to perform this by booting from the Acronis rescue media so as to avoid having Acronis restart the PC and use a limited Linux based environment.

When doing recovery from rescue media, you just need the drive with the backup images plus the new SSD installed.
