Internal PNME SSD to Kingston SSD clone ok but won't boot.

So I thought this would be straight forward using the Kingston free version of True Image.  So I just loaded the software into my HP Prodisk Mini G4 which was driven by a 256 Gb Samsung 970 PNME SSD. Picked up that and the new Kingston SATA 1TB SSD which was the target to increase disk space. Followed stepwise instructions which recommended automatic for clone (to use same PC and OS) which is what I did. So it worked fine and said was successful. I rebooted as recommended with both drives and after a disk check and short repair it booted to the original but I noticed the following. 1. There was less gb used on the cloned disk (only about 4gb ). 2. It hadn't assigned a disk letter to the new SSD. So I removed the original and attemped to get into bios to set the new  disk to be primary boot but it would only enter disk repair and is stuck there. The Kingston SSD manager did show the drive as being connected and 228gb used and the partitions but that is about where I am stuck.
So the question really is how do I get the new one to boot? (Luckily it still runs fine if put the PNME SSD back and alone).
