What determines TIB or TIBX?

Just a few months ago I upgraded from TIH2019 to 2020.

I also recently did a full clean reinstall of W10 (2004) to a new NVME drive and then created several backup tasks.

Ive noticed most of the backup files are TIBX which seems tidier as there are non of the incremental segments.

However I have one task using the old TIB format with several incremental files.

What determines whether a task uses TIB or TIBX?

Disk backups use .tibx files.

File backup continue to use .tib files.

Backup tasks brought from ATI 2019 or earlier also continue with using .tib files.

TIBX file is an Acronis Backup v12 Archive. Acronis Backup v12 is a backup solution intended for small to medium business and enterprise environments.
