Problem transferring 2015 to new machine

I am trying to transfer my 2015 license to a new Windows 10 machine. I have gone through the steps up to the point where Acronis gives me a prompt to log in to my account. When I try, it says it cannot reach the certification server and I should check my internet connection. The internet connection is fine and I can log into my account through a browser. What should I do?

Thanks,

Ernie

Ernie, welcome to these public User Forums.

Please make sure that your Win 10 PC is not operating behind a Proxy or VPN either of which are known to cause issues with Acronis online activation.

See KB 45522: Acronis True Image: Activation Fails with "Failed to connect to the Acronis activation server" - for how to use the offline activation procedure.

Thanks, Steve

No, there is no VPN or proxy involved. - simple, straightforward connection. I have gone to the accounts tab on the left and see no option for offline activation. Remember that this is a transfer situation a new machine and not a new activation, which perhaps explains that.

Ernie, the process for transferring a license is as shown in KB 48380: Acronis True Image 2015: "You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number" which should then lead you to the option for activating offline if that is needed.

If you still have a problem, then open a Non-Technical support case direct with Acronis as this is a licensing / activation issue for which you are still supported.

Thanks Steve

That is the  procedure I have been attempting that does not work.

I didn't know that licensing/activation is still supported. That is helpful. I will contact them.  Thank you.
