Re-Activation of Windows 7 Backup & Restore service

Having used ACTIH (different versions - but now 2012) for some time I had the need to uninstall ATIH2012 recently (along with various other programs) in order to undertake some system repairs.
After this uninstall - but before trying any of the system repairs - I wanted to run a Windows Backup as a first precaution.
But I now cannot access the Win7 Backup & restore Centre - or run a Windows Backup - either from the Control Panel or the Win7 Search box. It would seem that my earlier installation of ATIH2012 has somehow managed to knock-out this service!
Does anyone know what I need to do to restore it?

Thank you Yana. Reg file downloaded OK - but it will not install (see enclose error message)!
I tried a manual install - including renaming the existing registry entry - but again my registry refused to accept any alterations to this entry.
What now?

Hello Ian,
Thank you for keeping us posted.
Looks like the registry key is used by Acronis True Image Home. Please shut the product down, and disable the services. After that try again to import the key, and let us know the results.
Thank you!

Your help is much appreciated Yana. Thank you for your patience and support.
A couple of points about your latest suggestion:
1. At present (as mentioned in my first query) I do NOT have ATIH installed anywhere on my system. So there's nothing to 'shut down'.
I tried going through all the Processes, Applications, and Services listed in Windows Task Manager - but couldn't find anything that even looked like an Acronis related program. SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR?
2. I booted my system into Safe Mode - in the hope that this might allow me to import the REG file. But no such luck! I still got exactly the same error message... whether I tried the File>Import option from within Regedit, OR if I attempted to just run the REG file. Both methods failed.
So, do you have any further ideas that might help me with this problem? (For instance: Should I try and delete the complete Registry Key??)
Sorry to be an ongoing nuisance!

Hello Ian,
No worries, I enjoy assisting you. Thank you for keeping me posted, I appreciate it.
It's good you've mentioned that you've booted into Safe mode, but the issue remained, it narrowed down the possible causes. Since the Safe mode results are absolutely similar, then the issue's not with the processes using the key, but with the lack of permissions. We can solve it. Please check these instructions in order to fix the problem, and let me know how it went. I'll be looking forward to news from you.
Thank you for your cooperation, and patience.

YEEEE-HAAAA!!! And WHACK-A-WHACK-A-DO!!!
Thanks a million Yana...
after a bit of fluffing around (trying to get the stupid registry to accept all those altered permissions) the fix actually worked this time! So I can now access all the Win7 Backup and Restore functions again without a problem.
Thank you... thank you... THANK YOU. You've been a wonderful help - and I truly appreciate the calm (and pleasant) way you have held my hand whilst we walked through this problem. Muchas graci mi amigo!
Best wishes... Ian

Just one final question Yana:
I have finished the system maintenance tasks I needed to undertake, and would now like to re-install ATIH 2012. But I'm worried that by doing this, the re-install process might foul up that Registry Key again.
So my question is this... Is it OK to now re-install ATIH 2012? And will it behave safely if I do? (If not are there any special measures I should take to ensure I keep my Win7 Backup & Restore features?)
Sorry to continue bugging you! But I promise this is the last query - at least for the time being!!
