Sync priority and open files

Thread needs solution

Dear Acronis team and proffesionals,

I would like to know if there is a way how to avoid creation of backup of the files which are currently open while syncing. (adds to the file computer number and time). This might be usefull for some people, but I spend unusefull time deleting that files which I do not need.

Second thing I would like to know if there is a way how to put less priority to the sync task. Sometimes it seems that the computer slows down during syncing.

I like a lot the sync function of acronis, this 2 things would make it much more perfect for my purposes.

Thank you,
Petr

Why not post your request in the sticky topic on the front page of the forum under 'wishlist'.

Loraine, this is a very old topic from 2013 and may be dealing with a version of sync that no longer exists in the most recent versions of ATI.

What version of ATI are you using here?

Please note that only ATI 2020 is currently supported by Acronis, and that support will end in the next couple of months when the new / next version - ATI 2021 completes its Beta testing phase and is released generally to the public.  All current versions of Sync only allow for sync between two different computers or else to the Acronis Cloud, which is different to the version available back in 2013.

Yes I appreciate its an old topic but my issues are exactly those raised. I'm using Acronis True Image 2020 Build 25700 having only purchased it in the last few months.

Loraine, as you have ATI 2020, I can only suggest raising this direct with Acronis by opening a support ticket with them as per the link How to get support?

Sync works in the background as a Windows Service to perform its features and I do not know of any method of reducing the priority of any such service or of configuring Sync to handle open files differently.
