Acronis True Image 2020 .dmg MAC install file Image is damaged and cannot be opened.

The MacOS file downloaded from the official Acronis website is corrupted every time. Again and again this message when I want to install acronis on my Mac with Catalina. Error message: "Acronis True Image is corrupted and cannot be opened" Tried it on another Mac, just the same. Downloaded the file several times, always corupte file?

System: MacOS Catalina.

Tried Acronis 2020 True image installation file build 22510 and 21810

While our colleagues continue working on the support ticket, I'd also suggest trying to download the installation file from the direct download link https://dl.acronis.com/s/AcronisTrueImage2020_22510.dmg  Please let me know, if the issue still reproduces.

Hi there

I have the same issue, but specific to this Mac rather than the others on my account. It's a fresh install that I'm trying to do and have tried to download from both my Acronis account as well as the subscription confirmation email. Continue to get 'Acronis true image is damaged and can't be opened'.

Any advice welcome please.

Hello David,

please try the following

  • do not make decisions in the opened popup window
  • open Terminal
  • type 'Applications/Acronis True Image.app/Contents/MacOS/Acronis True Image'
  • press Enter
    You should be able to run True Image that way

Please let me know if that was helpful.

Hello All,

I do have the same problem and after some troubles with ATI I was requested to reinstall and make an fresh installation, but I cannot install it any more. Even I tried Ekaterina's recommendation which just executed the process, but nothing happened.

Tried the above type 'Applications/Acronis True Image.app/Contents/MacOS/Acronis True Image'. It will not execute.

type '/Applications/Acronis True Image.app/Contents/MacOS/Acronis True Image' still doesnt work

cd right up to MacOS and it wont execute Acronis True Image

is there a fix to the DMG as I bought it and cant use it?

please verify the checksum of the installation file per instructions from https://kb.acronis.com/content/1855 

If the checksum is correct, which means that the installation file is in fact not corrupted, please open a support ticket for investigation (how to open a support ticket https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Hi,

Has there been any good results form this? I have a new MacBook Pro with OS Catalina 10.15.4 and am getting the exact same message. I havent backed up in weeks now because of this.

No, never solved, finally opted for another backup solution. I finally got my money refunded from Acronis.

Try to execute this script https://kb.acronis.com/system/files/content/2019/11/ajax/cleanup_tool_mac.zip

and then try to install it again.
