Acronis Vulnerability Alerts Issues

Thread needs solution

In general, I find the vulnerability alerts very useful, however, I notice some issues

* I cannot make the vulnerability alerts for Python go away, even though I have installed the most up to date versions of Python in the 2.x and 3.x versions, the warning persists. It seems to be something to do with the system installed version of Python; I am using the most recent version of Mac OS 11.4

* When a vulnerability is reported for Chrome, and it is patched by Google, the vulnerability alert does not go away until the next major version upgrade. It seems the vulnerability alerting only checks major version numbers and not minor version numbers, so I belive I am getting a false positive from time to time

* There's currently a vulnerability alert for Weather, but on clicking the link to the CVE, the issue is not found.

Are other people experiencing any of these. Do you have workarounds?

Thanks a lot

Hello Nicholas,

thank you for your posting and letting us know about the issues!

Looks like this is a known issue and it's being worked on (internal ID for reference TI-228190 Vulnerability scan detects vulnerability issue with Python).

If you have some time for investigation, I'd advise opening a support ticket for the rest two issues, as I didn't find any traces of the similar cases in our system. Alternatively, please send us Acronis system report from the Mac in question along with a couple of screenshots showing the alerts. Please use the Feedback option for that.

Acronis tells me I have a critical vulnerability with Python.  Yet, I do not have Python listed.  Does anyone know who this might be?
