Backup to Network failed

Hello,

we have 5 Macbook Pro with Acronis True Image 2016. They Backup the Full Mac (with some excludes like iTunes etc.) to a Network Share from a remote Mac with NAS System behind. Each Network Share has 500 GB Space for Backups. The Backup Size on the Mac is about 300 - 400 GB.

The Backup starts correct and all is fine. But after a few Backups the free Space goes to 64 KB or 250 KB on the Backup Volume because there are more versions of the backup. And then the Backup fails.

Two Questions:

1. Is it normal that Acronis fill up the Free Space on the Destination Volume that there is only a few KB free Backup Space? Does it clean up older versions?

2. I get this Error when the Backup fails:

Hello,

now i want to restore a Backup from the Network Share what i created from a mac to a Network Share. When i want to restore Files this Error is displayed -> see attachment.

I cant restore the Backup. Acronis True Image 2016 for Mac is not working well... It is really disappointing to work with a software that should give you security and that one cannot rely on it.

Hello David,

Thank you for your posting! Bu default Acronis True Image 2016 stores 10 recent versions in one location. This rule applies to both Acronis Cloud and local or network folders. When you create the eleventh version, Acronis True Image 2016 automatically deletes the oldest version of the backup. In Acronis True Image 2017 you can limit the number of versions and their age. 

According to the error message the .tib-file was created using Acronis True Image installed on Windows-PC. Unfortunately it's not possible to restore backups of Windows systems on Mac, it's a limitation imposed by Apple.
