Does the latest TrueImage for Mac (build 6564) support incremental backups?

I just contacted support thru Chat and I believe that there is no settings to select incremental or differential backups after the first backup is performed. I was told by their support engineer to remove the app and reinstall. The Advanced option in Settings should have some sort of backup type selection, but I don't see it (only a disabled Cloud data center location option). After a first full backup, there is a .tib backup file. When I do another backup, I assumed there'd be a smaller, timestamped .tib backup file, but it appears that the first full backup is simply overwritten.

A full backup takes a considerable amount of time and I was hoping that TrueImage 2015 for Mac would support it. I licensed the 3-user package and my other Mac installation shows the exact same thing. my Windows version (build 6525) doesn't--each incremental .tib is given a new version number as you'd expect.

I can attach a screen capture if anyone would like to see it.

Hi Sotware Manicac, the Mac version of ATI will create two files (.tib and .tib.metadata) at the destination drive on the first run as an initial backup. All subsequent backups will be inkremental. In difference to the PC-Version these are included into the above mentioned two files and not stored as individual files. If you made some backups that way, and hit the restore from back button, you will see a dropdown menu above the file selection windows. There you can select the backup (date/time) you wish to recover to. Select the files/directories/volumes to recover and the destination to restore to, and you are done.

Oh. OKAY. I just seemed to notice that it took a long time to backup subsequent backups as it did the first time. The Mac user guide really seems to avoid the subject of full versus incremental, so I wasn't sure. Thank you.

Also, I did contact Acronis customer support and the support representative mentioned that there's a selection of backup type options in the Advanced tab (of Settings). I don't see any options in two of my licensed OS X installations. I followed instructions by moving the app to the trash and reinstalling the latest build of TrueImage for OS X. No change. My question is: for the latest Mac version, is the type of backup selectable (like the full, incremental, and differential variations in TrueImage for Windows)?

Hello,
the comment by Crhistian Krause is correct.
By first backup two flles created on storage: .tib and .tib.metadata
The first backup is a full backup of course.
All next slices will be incremental.

Kind regards,
