I am using Acronis True Image 2015. When I try to recover files my discs are identified as NTFS (34-3),  NTFS (34-4) etc.  instead of their labels. Can I change it to labels?

I don't know if the Forum is in phase 2 yet so this may be premature, but ...

The "Quote" function does not work correctly.  In Input or Edit mode quoted text is displayed indented, but when the posting is saved the indentation (and any other indication the text was a quote) is not displayed.

The "Quote" attribute is maintained, however.  If the post is edited the quoted text is again indented.  And the indentation again disappears once the edited post is saved.

Patrick, @Ekaterina reached out that there will come improvements to this platform. It is not yet fully and practically usable for power forumers imho.

Hi,

My two cents about the new forum...

- I'm a photographer and I'm using a calibrated display with a low brightness setting (90 cd/m2). Some areas are really hard to read. The contrast is too low.

- Rather irritating : the "Mark all read" button does nothing. This has been reported months ago and should be easy to fix.

- No emoticons, no obvious way to color text.

I can confirm that the issue with mark all read or the indicator for already read forums / posts is not working as expected. I hope that the Acronis Web Team is still working on this. Afaik a new update to the forum software was planned for the time after the Acronis 2018 release.

Here an update to the discussion: we've adjusted the color scheme and fonts based on your feedback, this should  improve the legibility. You can also adjust colors on the monitor to achieve the balance for your eyes. We've also fixed the issue with the login reported recently. 
More enhancements are on their way! If you have feedback to share, you're always welcome. Feel free to PM me for any support and forum related issues. 

Reply with quote option is not forgotten! It will be added once we have the more critical tasks done.

If I may suggest enforcing HTTPS on all parts of the forum. Currently all posts are loaded over HTTP. My 25 cents...

Thanks for your continuous development on the forum. Ekaterina, as you refer to sending you a PM there is still no good indicator in the UI when a user has received such a PM and it is unread.

I'm still eagerly awaiting the fix to the mark all as read issue. I really try to keep an eye on new posts, but no matter what I try, I still always show many unread messages in each main forum topic. I manually went through and opened every thread in the 2019 forum and it still shows more than 17 messages unread. I think this behavior goes back to 2017 looking at some of the earlier posts here.

Ekaterina, please can you double-check the KB links in the new ATI 2020 Forum topic: Acronis True Image 2020: new tibx backup format FAQ as I am seeing images that cannot load in a number of these documents.

KB 63516: Acronis True Image 2020: Incremental backups do not create separate files when using new backup format - only image is broken / not shown.

KB 63445: Acronis True Image 2020: how to view and manage backup versions in new backup format - 3 images are broken / not shown.

KB 63444: Acronis True Image 2020: tibx backups in local destinations - second image is broken / not shown.

One other issue that has been occuring recently is being unable to open the Account page for myself or other users without getting a 504 Gateway timeout error, then blank web pages until it shows after multiple retries at refreshing the web page!

What browser are you using? Everything is ok in Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 (not the latest update though..cannot relaunch the browser at the moment :(

Hi Ekaterina, I don't use Chrome due their intrusive 'Software Reporter' so am using FireFox as my main browser.  Firefox 69.0.3 is the version.

I confirm what Steve sees.  I use NoScript, but enabling scripts does not change the display.  I use ADBlock Plus, but disabling it does not change the display.

Looking at the page source I see

<p><img alt="" src="/system/files/content/2019/08/ajax/recovery_points.png" width="700" />

for one of the images.  Similar links for the other images - /system/files/content/ followed by other stuff.

I am not getting any notifications of updates to many of my forum topics that I am following and this has been so for a week or two now?? (including this topic!).

It may be a personal problem, Steve.  :-)  I'm getting some notifications.  (It's hard to know if I'm getting all unless I figure out how many threads I'm following.)

Further forum problems, now I cannot use File Upload to upload either .gif or .zip files for forum topics.  No error given, just ignores any attempts to do so!

Still not getting notifications for topic posts other than of new topics which mainly show with 'Access denied' when I try to follow them, plus when editing My Account profile, my email address is greyed out and cannot be changed (which I have needed to do previously due to other notification issues in the past!)....!

The above error given when trying to upload a 1MB .gif file using the icon option, yet if I try to upload a larger .gif file, it tells me that it is larger than the 2MB limit!!!

Shared link to the .gif video file here - where this is showing what doesn't happen when trying to use the File Upload option to this forum topic!!

A niggle but annoying issue:

Mark all read in any of the forums does not remove the 'new' indicator for posts shown in the listing even though these have previously been read and may be months old!

Steve, I also find that very annoying. It has marked sticky threads which have not has a post for a long time, sometimes many years, as new.

*** REALLY ANNOYING CONTINUOUS PROMOTIONAL MESSAGE AT THE TOP OF ALL FORUM PAGES AND TOPICS ***

If there is a 100% certain way of annoying regular forum users it is to keep showing the same promotion message at the top of ever page opened in the forum and continuing to do this after the message has been dismissed by the user!

This behaviour started yesterday, is not even relevant as the promotion is in US Dollars and is really getting my goat!

Please recognise that users have dismissed the message and do not want to see it again.  Surely this is what cookies are for in the forums and on the web in general!

Forum is very slow and unresponsive. Occasionally get 404 errors.

Each time this happens I check my internet connection - I have a 100/40 Mbps cable connection with LTE fall-over. This happened again this morning and I did speed check, got a ping of 9ms, and connection speed of 82.6/26.6 Mbps, so it looks like a problem with the sever hosting the forum, although it could be anywhere between my ISP interconnection link and the Acronis server - I am in Melbourne Australia so I am likely to be a long way from the server.

Ian, I saw some very slow forum responses over the past few days and put it down to the increase in internet traffic for all the folks working from home or isolating etc.

One area that for me is impossible to use is accessing my Acronis Account in the Forums for looking at private messages.  I simply cannot access these without having to constantly hit refresh on my browser for 20 to 30 times.  The normal response is a blank page which after being refreshed lots of times may sometimes give me a 504 Bad Gateway error and if I persist long enough, I may get to read a private message.  If I reply to the message, it all starts all over and I cannot even see my own reply, let alone see any other messages in my inbox!

This is not specific to a single browser or PC, it happens with every browser I have tried and on all my PC's!

I have been reporting this via these forums & the MVP forum for over 6 months with no remedy!

Why is the Forum now putting up the above message on every page opened and refreshed all of a sudden?  I click on the "Got it" button and do nothing more then it comes back again on all pages which is extremely annoying!!!

Please get this fixed as soon as possible!

Glad that it is not only me - seems to be browser independent - I am using Chromian based Edge.

It is a real pain - got (much) better things to do with my time!

If I disable JavaScript for the forum pages the pop-up cookies spam stops but I also lose all the editor controls for posts too!

I made no changes to the setting and midday 30 April (Melbourne Australia time) the problem appears to have gone away. One problem down, how many to go ???

Ian, I saw this new issue disappear yesterday afternoon here in the UK but didn't post an update just in case it was only a temporary fix, but looks to be still good this morning!

Now hopefully they can address some of the other issues such as notifications for posts etc.

Are there problems with the forum this morning (UK time)? 

Opening forums, topics, going to the end of topics for new posts is all operating in 'treacle' mode and seems to take an age!

Yet more forum issues over the last couple of days here in the UK.

Opening any forum pages takes what seems like an age with being so slow!
Open other websites is done immediately, so is only affecting Acronis forum pages!

I can no longer get my Acronis Account page to open at all - back to endless 504 Bad Gateway errors regardless of how often and how many times I refresh the page!  This was working after doing a couple of refreshes up to a couple of days back but is now just a waste of time!

Yes, it takes forever updating pages, sometimes they load partially then take a while to fully load. All other web sites and forums operating as normal so it is a sever configuration problem.

Are these speed issues not resolved yet? Browsing the forums now I notice only a slight delay. No gateway issues or pages that don't load at all. Going to the start page takes about 2 seconds. Loading True Image 2020 Forum takes about 3 seconds (6 seconds at worst).
