TI scheduler and monitor loading (and locking up)
Hi, Now that i am reliably cloning away, without issues using my Thinkpad dock to hold the boot CD, I made another 100GB to 60GB clone of my original HDD. No issues and it ran slick.
The new target boots in the main bay, but the boot process was quite delayed because something called Acronis monitor is being loaded.
I do not recall telling this to load. Scheduler is also being loaded. And then these two programs lock up at shutdown.
I can't find a way to shut them off within True Image. I have no need for any monitor or scheduler, I back up my data files via COPY to dedicated HDDs and USB sticks and have no use for the backup routines in TI. I bought it for the cloning capabilities.
I had to use the registry to remove the keys that run these two apps. I normally only have to do that with malware. Now, TI isn't malware, but I don't want these to be running and if someone can tell me how to shut them off from within Acronis true Image's own screens, that would be nice. I especially don't want TI to decide it needs to re-load these on me.
