Acronis 11.7 Backup - Fresh install - SQL 2008 Express download error.

It's a long story.... and I know, I know... but after we trashed EMC / Networker, we are at a loss for backing up a hand full of legacy server 2000 and 2003 servers. BUT, it looks like Acronis 11.7 with an 11.5 agent will solve this issue.

So, I'm attempting to setup 11.7 from scratch, on a newly built, up to date, server 2012R2 64bit, 2 core, 16GB RAM VM. When I run the 11.7 installer with administrator rights, I am getting a setup error on SQL Server Express 2008...Connection to the server has been lost, Code: 024510471, Message: An error occurred. HTTP: Not Found. It also lists this manual search for help: "http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/Event Code: 0x01760007 " which produces no results. And I google without results.

So... Anyone have any ideas? *OR* how do a manual install of SQL 2008 Express on the host server that the installation will recognize and use?

Hello Chris,

thanks for posting on Acronis forums!

Could you please collect MSI log during the installation and share it here for analysis?

I was able to install SQL Express in a fairly default manor... keeping track of what I called the database and using a consistant un/pw combo. I then installed the 11.7 components manually... it recognized there was a database and using the database name and un/password combo, was able to proceed with the full installation.
