2013 File Restore Issue

I have a very large file I'm recovering. I validated the backup and it says it is good. The True Image reports the backup file as containing 2,994,537 files and 228,946 folders with a total size of 888.7GB. In early August I attempted to restore this backup I created July 31, It ran for nearly 30 hours (the backup takes about 18 hours to create) and I noticed the screen was saying about 4 minutes to completion. Two and a half hours later it was still saying 4 minutes to completion. Windows Task Manager (Windows 7) showed that Acronis True Image was running and I had not messages to the contrary but it seemed to be hung up. So I stopped the operation. I w
Windows Explorered to the folder on the recovery destination folder on C:\drive and noticed that most, not all, files looked something like this: 67AF8CD87~filename.Suffix~ Today I'm running it again. I Windows Explorered to the folder being restored on my C:\ drive and noticed that ALL the files have this 8 digit alpha-numeric~filename.suffix~ format. Is this what I should see before the operation completes? Is there something that runs after all files have restored that removed the 8-digit code and the ~? The first time, did I kill the operation before it finished and that is why some files had the 8-digit code while other had the actual file name. Would a 30+ hour restore be reasonable for a file the took only 18 hours to backup? By the way I restored a much smaller file and it restored within minutes without a problem, so I know Acronis can restore a file, I'm just asking for assistance on what I should be expecting here.

The file being restored is on my D:/ drive, which is a 4tb newer drive, same size and PC as my C:/ drive. The destination root folder is at C:/Auran/TS2010. It contains many subfolders, such as C:/Auran/TS2010/userdata/Original/. There is also a C:/Auran/TS2010/userdata/Local/ folder. Both the Original and Local folders contain thousands of folders, each of which contain individual files that are a game asset (Locomotives, railcars, trees, buildings, soil textures, etc., etc. ) The True Image Recovery Progress screen is displaying a Destination: C:/Auran/TS2010/unins001.exe file and a Time Remaining of 19 minutes. It has been displaying this same data for over 5 hours. Windows Task Manager says it is Running and WTM Processes shows some CPU activity related to TrueImage tasks. It looks like the unins001.exe file was the final TS2010 game file restored and I think (not sure) all other files have been restored. In the Original folder mentioned above all assets have been changed from the 8-digit Alpha Numeric~filename.suffix~ format back to just the filename.suffix. In the Local folder they have not all been changed back (lost the alpha-numeric & ~ stuff). I'm assuming that it is that process that is now taking place. Though this restore has now been running for over 39 hours (on a backup that took 18 hours to create) I'm going to let it run until it either finishes or crashes and see what happens.

I let it run until it finished, which was between 48 and 55 hours. It did restore and everything seems to be there and OK. I went to bed at 12 midnight of 18Aug and it was still running and displaying the C:/auran/ts2010/unins001.exe file and said it was still 19 minutes away from finishing. That is what it had been telling me for the past 12 hours. At around 10:30pm, 18Aug, I went into the TS2010 folder using Windows Explorer and it appeared that all files had been restored and the 8-digit header and ~ had been removed from the names of the files. I don't know what it was doing for the next several hours. I assume it was doing some sort of validation but I never saw any messages indicating it was doing anything.
It would be nice if True Image would display an occasional message to let you know it was not locked up. I'm using 2013 so it is possible later versions may do so. It is apparent that restores take mush longer than the backup. In this case it took 3 times longer to restore than to backup.
In spite of everything, True Image came through with the recovery. You just have to wait it out.

Charles, glad that being patient / waiting it out got the job done! Thanks for sharing your feedback.
