Can not clone CT1000MX500SSD1

I just purchased the SSD to replace my existing desktop hard drive.
I formatted the SSD and then, using Acronis True Image, I proceeded to clone the drive. After a short time I got the following message. I did a chkdsk on my computer and it did not find any problems.
I have a feeling that I have an issue with the hard drive but not sure how to proceed.

Thanks for the great information. Well, the hard drive finally died so I think this was the problem not being able to clone the drive!
