Hi Ekaterina,

Will be great if you can get product manager into that forum and answer to us, we would like that feature available ASAP

I'm paying Acronis for my DirectAdmin, but I have to manually restoration when my clients need it... the plugin will save my time so they can restore it their own without need my help

C'mon please!! I'm not being rude but just hopefully you can speak to product manager and get it ready, I can see DirectAdmin is grown fast and I'm now expanding more DirectAdmin servers

Thanks

Acronis team,

any updates on this? we've moved lots of servers away from acronis to jetbackup! jet is excellent and cheaper but we would prefer to pay more to acronis so we have 1 backup solution for all of our services

+1 also from us, we need to know if you are working on this already and how long it will take until you release it. Otherwise we have to look for another backup solution.

I don't think Acronis are going to support DirectAdmin for various reasons, at least not for another year or two. If they were going to, it would've been supported by now, surely? They already support cPanel, Plesk and InterWorx and I bet they're swapped with supporting those panels alone, nevermind any others.

It's one of the reasons I think I'd use InterWorx over DirectAdmin. I've been testing InterWorx and I prefer it over DirectAdmin, and so I was checking with InterWorx about the Acronis plugin they have as the GUI has some bugs which they're fixing, too. And they said they'll definitely want to get them fixed since the partner company who owns InterWorx will be using the control panel for their own servers and will be using Acronis, too.

I think if Acronis is a must it's probably best to use InterWorx over DirectAdmin, at least for now.

I also tested InterWorx, but not the acronis plugin. I need to test this too. Actually I like InterWorx, but the filemanager is not acceptable. I hope they will improve this soon.

The file manager is on priority backlog https://www.interworx.com/roadmap-feature-request-feedback-form/

I was testing the Acronis plugin and it didn't install the GUI part properly, but I was testing/providing feedback to InterWorx and InterWorx/Acronis fixed the issue already as there is a hotfix for it, but I'm yet to test it. But I can see the backup page loads fine on the test server now.

Still, I'll do a fresh install of InterWorx and reinstall it again to make sure it works properly before using it.

We tested InterWorx briefly a couple of days ago, like cPanel it doesn't support Centos8/Cloudlinux8! something directadmin has supported for quite sometime now!

We deleted the test VM as we preferred DA over interworx.

I'd rather put up with Centos7/Cloudlinux7 and use Acronis than use DirectAdmin without Acronis. Backing up lots of data is painful otherwise.

I hope DirectAdmin do add Acronis/Acronis support DirectAdmin, but right now InterWorx seems the only decent alternative to cPanel/Plesk that supports Acronis. InterWorx should be supporting Centos8/Cloudlinux8 soon, as mentioned on the Roadmap.

PS I won't use InterWorx for production until they support Imunify360 and MailChannels. LiteSpeed seems to already be supported and so that's good.

Any update on this, please?

DirectAdmin already supports Imunify360, CloudLinux, JetBackup and CentOS 8 whereas InterWorx only supports CloudLinux and Acronis. InterWorx has also paused development for CentOS 8 due to RHEL ending it, so they're waiting for a fork of CentOS 8.

Time for an Acronis DirectAdmin plugin!

Hello everyone,

My name is Alexandra and I am the one responsible for hosting-related integrations at Acronis. I'd like to confirm that we do have DirectAdmin support in the roadmap. Feature set will be similar to cPanel and Plesk integrations we already have.

We're fully aware of cPanel pricing changes which lead to an increased demand in DirectAdmin support on our side. All your requests were collected and processed to raise a priority of this project. As per ETA - it depends on many factors, which is why I cannot provide you with the exact date. My goal is to deliver it in 2021.

If you'd like help me with that and sign up for the early adopters program or just have feedback on one of the existing integrations, feel free to contact me at hosting-partners-feedback@acronis.com

Hello Everyone,

please note that the latest update now provides lower pricing for partners, by detecting the web hosting control panels of the following brands:

  • DirectAdmin
  • Virtualmin
  • ISPmanager

If a physical server or a virtual machine has one of the web hosting tools listed above, web hosting server quota will be consumed.

Full release note available here https://dl.acronis.com/u/baas/rn/21.06/en-US/AcronisCyberCloud_relnotes…

Hello James,

No, this is a change on a licensing side allowing you to protect physical machines and VMs (where the mentioned tools installed) for a better price - introduced specifically for Hosters. My team is actively working on plugin for DA now and you're on the list of our beta testers, so I'll keep you posted with the news by email.

Do you have a rough ETA on when the plugin may be available please?

1 to 3 Months?

3 to 6 months?

6 months + ?

We are very interested in the option of an acronis backup component for DA. We currently use the function for Plesk and it works perfectly. Please notify us by email when this feature is ready.

Hello everyone,

We've been working closely with acronis since the begining of the beta and I'm pleased to say the DirectAdmin Plugin works perfectly, it'll be released in just a few days.

Acronis are hosting a webinar and i'm pleased to be included it along with DA developer Julius Krukas mid-late July.
