Snap Deploy License Server Remove Serial

Hello all,

i just purchased some Snap Deploy licenses :) and i have one "big" problem.

in my test lab, i was trying to remove key's from license server console and i had some problems:

1 - Only can remove one by one
question: is it possible to add "selection" option of next update?

2 - Stopped Agente service, deleted "program files/common.../acronis *.lic", uninstalled license server and deleted regedit entry
question: after this step i installed again license server and what was my surprise when i found all my previous serials on application. help me out.

im stuck, i purchased 110 licenses plus server... and i dont want to install it to production if you cant help me out please. i need to be able to remove all serial all the time i need and want from license server console. and dont even think in formatting OS host where Snapdeploy is installed.

ps: i voted for acronis instead on Symantec ghost.....

Thank you for the detailed comment, it helped a lot. There are several possibilities to remove the licenses from the License Server, and I'm going to send you the instructions via PM. Please follow them and check whether the issue persists.

I would like to also thank you for your valuable suggestion regarding Selection option! i have just sent it to our Product Management team for them to take a look whether it's implemention is possible in the next update!

I have the same issue - I keep uninstalling and doing the regedit and the license server automatically finds the old licenses and the Agent will not install either.

Hello
Same Problem here. Licences are used from PC's that are gone away.
So i can't deploy the new onces. Must i buy new Licences?

Guys, I understand your concern and I'd be glad to help you, but this solution was designed for trial licenses issues only.

Should you need to deploy the new machines after you've sent the old ones out for someone else, according to Acronis License Policy you will need new licenses for new computers. I understand that this rule may be inconvenient, but I'm glad to inform you that we also do have volume licenses and discounts for such cases.

Volume licenses are provided by the Sales deprtament, so let me know in case you're interested in it.

Hi i got a similar problem

 

We have customer witch has a old Snap Deploy 3.0 Installation with around 350 Lic.
I Need now to delete the Lic which are registrarted in it for a Migration reason.

Could you please provide me the solution to do this ?

Hi! 

Acronis Snap Deploy has no option to revoke a license. A license is assigned to MAC-Address of a network card. If you have a computer that had an Acronis Snap Deploy machine license assigned decommissioned or NIC is replaced, please contact Acronis Customer Central (select Trial/ Activation/ Pre-sales/ Licensing question) - and provide a screenshot of Acronis License Server with the respective used license shown (along with the MAC address visible), as well as documentation from your IT department confirming the decommissioning of the system in question. Our engineers will help you with migration.
